Hammer and Nail Station


 We placed two large palm tree rounds in our block area to create a nail and hammer station.  We also added some screws and screwdrivers.


Children had to wear safety goggles



They hammered in and pulled out nails.



They worked together to solve problems and help one another.

Oh and you ask, how many ouches did we get?  I am happy to say NOT ONE!!!

    Gosh, I would love to have something like this in my classroom. I am afraid 3 boys and 1 girl would ruin the whole experience for all the rest! of my friends!

    You know your class best, but sometimes when you set up different types of experiences they will surprise you.
