Children are always interested when their parents sign
them in for the day. So why not capture
that interest and give them a way to sign themselves in everyday.
By setting up a daily sign-in table it is a wonderful way
for the children to find and recognize their names. It is also a great way to have them practice
writing their names.
We use two sign-in books so that two children can sign in at the same time. One book has children’s first names in alphabetic order A-L and the second book is M-Z.
Each book has ABC tabs so that the children can go to
their first letter in their name and find their name in that section. Depending on the level of the child their
name might have practice writing text on it.
We are using the lettering from Lettering Delights.

ReplyDeleteWe do this as well, but each child has a spiral notebook with their name attached (using a binder clip). Each day is a new page so it's a great keepsake for parents to look back and see how far they've come.
