Heart Card Holders

We started our project off with pre-cut heart shaped paper plates.

Children painted their plate with q-tips.

Once all of the plates where dry we punched holes around 1 full plate and the heart shaped plate so that the children could lace them together with yarn.

Next the children cut out heart shapes and drew faces onto each heart.  The hearts will be placed on their card holders with children's name.

Each heart holder was then hung on each child's cubby so that the children could go down a line and place their cards in each holder.

You can find heart learning center activities in the Math and Literacy Fun with Heart Packet.

  1. I love this idea for collecting valentines. Children can practice so many fine motor skills while they make something pretty and practical. Thanks for the idea and the pictures. Renee
