Nature Walk

Today we went on a nature walk around the school campus. Each child carried along with them a small paper lunch sack and as we walked and explored the changing trees the children picked up items of interest for further exploration. Once back in the class the children dumped their bags to compare with one another their findings. They discovered that there where several different types of leaves. They wanted to know which type of leaf had the most. So a fall leaf graph was in order. Here is what they came up with.
